After enjoying both brunch and dinner at this enchanting venue, I felt it was time to share my thoughts. Is The Garden Room truly a garden paradise, or is it merely an overhyped spot?
This romantic, greenhouse-inspired lounge bar opened its doors in 2019, and given its youth, I approached my visit with some skepticism. However, the restaurant’s impressive social media presence propelled it to rapid success. Chef Freddy has proven his willingness to tackle new challenges, offering a formula for a thriving restaurant that we should all take note of.
First, let’s discuss the aesthetics, which left me almost breathless. Upon entering, you feel as though you’ve stepped into a lavish secret garden. The ambiance transports you to another realm, with stunning light, vibrant floral arrangements, and a beautifully coordinated seating area that could inspire any home decor. I was astonished to find such a magical setting in the heart of Buckhead. The atmosphere resembles an elite gathering where everyone is dressed to impress. On weekends, the addition of a DJ and live performances elevates the experience even further. Simply put, it’s breathtaking!
Equally impressive is the quality of the food. One might assume that the restaurant’s investment went solely into aesthetics, but Chef Freddy’s culinary prowess shines through. He brings the same dedication he demonstrated at Atlas to The Garden Room. The menu is thoughtfully curated, well-balanced, and refreshingly original. Both brunch and dinner left my palate thoroughly satisfied. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost. Bravo Chef Freddy!
However, I must be candid about a drawback: the service. As the saying goes, you can’t have it all, and unfortunately, impeccable service was not part of the experience in this expansive 3,000-square-foot space. A bustling floor often translates to subpar service. While my servers were friendly and polite during both visits, they lacked attentiveness. I found myself needing to request water refills and waiting far too long for plates to be cleared. Additionally, not changing my silverware before the venison course was disappointing. For a restaurant of this caliber, guests deserve exceptional service, not just a charming smile.
In summary, if you’re seeking a captivating atmosphere, imaginative cuisine, and an otherworldly vibe, The Garden Room is certainly worth a visit!
